I am bit new to joomla, I would like to use the Smartblog on the website.

Could you please suggest me the solution on following problem.
I am using Joomla1.5 version and smartblogv1.5.1 component.
When I tried to run the component -blog, it gives me a following error.

"Parse error: syntax error, unexpected $end, expecting T_FUNCTION in C:\xampp\htdocs\xxxyyyzzz\administrator\components\com_blog\views\blog.php on line 302"

Could you please suggest me the possible cause.


I have refer lots of website to solve this problem

but none is solving the problem.

can u pls check in ur php.ini file for shorttag staus. if its off pls change it On

Thanks for reply..I am trying to find a file "php.ini", but couldnt find one..

Can you please ellobrate in more detail..
where I can find this file ( is it a part of Joomla1.5)

php.ini can be found in the cgi-bin folder
